Version 1.3 of "Text to Speech for Video" is now available

I've released version 1.3 of my open source text-to-speech program, Text to Speech for Video. Several enhancements have been added to make working with the program easier and more productive, and the "Huckleberry" voice has been improved and expanded (word count now over 2300).

Below is a short video demonstrating what the current three voices (Huckleberry, Donna, and Eve) sound like:

The visual elements were created in Muvizu Play+ I've just started working with Play+, but I already like it a lot. I hope to post a more extensive review sometime later this year. *

Muvizu Price Cut on "Play Plus"

I was happy to see that Muvizu recently cut the price on the Play+ version or their product (Play+ is the full-featured version which allows commercial use and does not stamp a Muvizu watermark on videos you create). Previously Play+ was priced (in British Pounds) at approximately $230. Now it's available for $29.99, quite a drop!

The "Play" version remains free. *

"WING IT" - Award Winning Animation

South African animators Jeanelize de Nys, Shani Campbell, Shane Marks, Kelly Walker, Thea de Klerk, and Barry de Jager of "The Animation School" have much to be proud of in their 2012 animated film "WING IT" which centers around a young inventor in the days of early flight research.

The detailing on the scenes is great! I particularly enjoyed the mechanical animations and the barn workshop in which much of the film's activity takes place.

There's an unexpected plot twist, but I'll leave that for you to discover as you watch the film:

Animated Short: "How Unexpected"

Here's a recent film by Vancouver Film School student Sara Kim entitled "How Unexpected". I found it upbeat, well-drawn, and entertaining:
